The new military government in control of [[Tyrille]]. Commonly just called “The Goldscales” this group deposed Queen [[Clorinda Varon]] and took control of the government, placing the nation under martial law to fend off the hordes of Morgaal that, after ~20 years of all out war, had brought the nation to its knees and threated it’s very existence. ___ It was generally accepted that had the Goldscales risen even half a year later than they did, the nation of Tyrille would’ve finally fallen to the [[Morgaal]]. The Goldscales’ rise was rather abrupt, beginning with the return of the exiled Calisto da’Mira. He returned to the nation that had exiled him for treason with newfound gods and a promise of salvation for those who followed them. He put to use the powers that his newfound gods, “The Unseen Ones” endowed him with to turn the tide of major battles with the orcs. Each success gained him more followers, and soon under the banner ‘Order of the Goldscales’, named for the uniform armor they wore, they deposed the governing body and pushed the orcs back to their homelands. In the final battle with the Morgaal, Calisto da’Mira was struck down, though the Goldscales had established themselves thoroughly enough to maintain their hold on the nation. They have now ruled for ~20 years.
